Illinois Life Span (ILS) is a free information and referral service for people with disabilities. Information is provided through this website and a toll-free phone line. ILS is a project of The Arc of Illinois—a statewide advocacy organization committed to empowering persons with disabilities to achieve full participation in community life through informed choices.
Our website includes contact and descriptive information on hundreds of organizations/service providers . . . and we continue to grow! Persons with disabilities, family members or others interested in locating advocacy, services or supports can search our online database by type of service, agency name, and/or county. Additional information available on our website includes a statewide Event Calendar, important legislative advocacy information, an Advocacy Toolbox to help navigate the disability system, and links to local, state and national organizations that provide helpful information. No computer access? Just give our Advocacy Resource Specialists a call at 1-800-588-7002.
