My 10 year high school reunion was held at this bar recently. I was really excited to go... a fun time to see old friends, and a fun way to spend my birthday- open bar yay ;) .
I called them to inquire about accessibility (I NEVER do this, but didnt want anything to go wrong). I was assured that the building was completely accessible to wheelchair users. I arrived there to find that the event was up 2 stories worth of stairs, and there was no elevator.
The manager was not very apologetic, and didnt seem to care that he ruined an experience I had really been looking forward to. I will not be returning to that bar again.
Disability Awareness:
Unwelcoming, Unfriendly, Inflexible service, Disrespectful, Unwilling or unhelpful when I needed assistance or accommodations, Flat out lied about being accessible.
